alone, alone, all alone ...

The other day DW commented that there IS a Significant difference between a dog and a baby. There IS a significant difference between a ‘significant other’ and a family member. Society has been doing everything in its power to alienate people, teaching them that we evolved from lower forms of life. (IF evolution were true how could an evolutionist use the term ‘Lower form’? There IS no such thing as lower or higher or primitive or advanced if it were true – in fact ‘evolution’ itself is an oxymoron right up there among the top ten. People will always associate improvement and better and higher and more advanced with the word ‘evolve’. ) Indoctrinate people that they have their inalienable rights and that self expression and self fulfillment and self love and self aggrandizement is what it is all about and then sit back and wonder why we are all so lonely.
Lee Bussard took exception to the politically correct insistence that handicap people need to be able to go it on their own. He sadly suggested that what they want is that we all learn to work together. Do it together not all on our own.
That we Are lonely is apparent. Why do people insist in calling their group of close friends ‘family’? “I am divorced and glad that I am – now I have my Family and we are Sooo close” Because the word ‘family’ has personal warm fuzzes that they do not have and they deeply miss and desire ? (Yes I DO know that some people are NOT personally responsible for Not having a family ! ! !) Just because they can not have the content of the concept does that mean we should change the definition of the word ‘family’? Our society is full of people trying to do just that ! Get the content of the concept by changing the definition of the word that we use to describe what they want.
DW, to continue with what he brought up, is a few years behind with his comment I submit though I DO agree with his sentiments entirely.
What I mean is that society has gone far beyond what he is talking about and they did it quite some time ago. Witness one, I may be wrong as to the author, H G Wells with his story of The woman who fell in love with the vacuum cleaner. Then we have what’s her name dancing with Jonnie five Oh. Japan has a love affair with robots, they are baby sitting little kids and the elderly. Battle Star Galactica seems to be saying that we people can not live with our own ‘creation’. We ‘created’ the robot to be our servant / slave and when they ‘evolved’ up to our level (and may be even beyond) we had a problem with that. (what are the possibilities that monkeys and the great apes evolved an aversion to becoming domesticated so that they would not end up becoming our servant / slaves? May be God programmed them to be not domesicatable?)
People are so lonely that they will do anything to alleviate the feeling no matter how impersonal it may be just because they do not want to agree that God made people to live together starting with Family and in particular a man and a woman. (again emphasizing that I DO recognize that there Are some who are not personally responsible for being alone !)
