bonanaza

I was out in the yard working on the car when I saw something that required binoculars so I called Andrew to bring them for me. When He and I were finished with them I told him to leave them in the car. This morning on the way to work was one of those georgous bright coloured sunrises, it was a studied contrast to the sunrise that I blogged a while ago that was soft and pastel. There were bright clouds and bright colours all over the sky, it was attention grabbing. On the way home Unfortunately there was a car right behind me so I could not stop quickly and did not get the best angle - there were at least eleven deer, all in one place! and I had the binoculars! Bonanza! They were out in a field, a bit far away and it was not the best light but they were grazing. Then their heads came up and looked and I knew that they were not long for staying around. It wasn't me they were looking at. One white flag went up and the whole herd made a dashing exit behind a hill into some trees. One half mile down the road I looked back to see if there was by chance a space between the trees where I might spot a stragler and there by some bush was another deer brousing on the twigs. Twelve deer in one day!
