relatives

www.bbcworld.com
"The US Supreme Court has barred enforcement of a law meant to protect children from online pornography, because it probably curbs free speech."
"The high court split five-to-four over the law, which was passed in 1998 and is backed by the Bush administration. Judges said a lower court was right to block the law, as it probably violated the First Amendment of the US Constitution, on freedom of speech."
Now does this sound like evolution logic or what? “probably” violated . . . We don’t know if it DOES violate but we will block it anyway
"The case has been sent back to a lower court for a trial. A new trial will allow the court to discuss any technological developments that may permit adults to see and buy legal material - while keeping it away from children."
While they wait for the techno to develop it is no problem for the children to see it we assume . . . and who said that while that development takes place there won’t be an other techno developer who comes up with another superduper faster easier way to put all that junk on everyone’s computer without them being able to do anything about it?
"One of the judges opposed to the 1998 law warned of 'a potential for extraordinary harm and a serious chill upon protected speech' if the law took effect."
Once again he doesn’t KNOW if there will be harm or not but let’s not take any chances, have to give everybody out there the opportunity to speak their mind (no matter how evil it may be). Like as if there is not already extraordinary harm and a serious chill on the lives of countless people because of porn and child porn. Oh yes how could I forget? There are no absolutes ! ! He is the one making up the rules (so why do we elect people to go to parliament?).
I don’t know, but I wonder what Albert would have thought of what the world has made of the “relativity” thing? Of course here we go with Francis’ son growing up with THE instructor of one generation on the “leap of faith in-the-dark” and him going Orthodox. Talk about a leap! What does Albert’s theory have to do with moral degeneracy? Well as Francis taught that what we think about, philosophy (there is an oxymoron for you “Love of learning” mostly love of justifying themselves) what we think about is what we become (isn’t that somewhere else too?) So as we think in “relative” terms in art and industry and techno and each and every area of out lives we think in the moral area (or is that the other way around). The US went off of the Gold standard for their money. Financial “relativity” (big trouble). There are no absolutes. Albert kept one, can’t go faster than light, but the star trek guys were smarter than him and they made it happen. Now the labs say that they have stopped light in its tracks . . .
Every thing is relative till it infringes on my rights. How to get back the absolutes? (the Absolute Universal Norm - Be Holy!)

Israel and Pheobe

To blog or not to . . . That is not the question. Question is what to blog. There is so much going on and how to comment on it? And at the same time there does not seem to be much going on. Everyday is a title of life. Each day is the same, routine, tradition, repitition, more-of-the-same. Ever notice how Israel is Always in the news? No matter what is happening elsewhere in the world there is an article about Israel. Seems like it has been forever and will be. But of course it has not been. B.I. there was no Israel (new designation of the eons of the world – B.I. = Before Ian eon, I share a birth year with Israel and Prince Charles)

So, four Muslim women are suing imigration, I think it is, because they were forced to take off their head scarfs to get their picture taken. That sounds like the guys who wanted to wear their turbans in the RCMP. If you don’t like the rules that we have go somewhere else and find something else to do ! Course there are your infamous Canadian parents. Who are raising ___ because the American pilot who dropped a bomb on their kid is getting off with a slap on the hand. What did they expect? It was a war ! I would like to put each of those parents up in the plane and see just what they would do when it was their britches on the line ! We all are quite sure that in reality it was the fault, if fault it was, the fault of a whole string of people and the two pilots would have just been the fall guys if they had gotten a severe punishment. What is Canada comming to? Trouble is those four women will get an apology . . . and Canada does not have capital punishment ! There you are, we want to get a couple of pilots in trouble because they killed someone in wartime and we let the murderer out on good behavior. All of Canada has to bow to the religious rights of four people, not Canadians, and never mind the public rights of me as a natural born Canadian citizen, as in the right to travel without paying exorbitant insurance because someone blew up a couple of mega buildings, as in the right to read and teach the Bible when and where I choose and so on. So I have asked a few people why they came to Canada. The answer is because it is better here than it was at home. So why drag all your culture, more, - the way you used to live, along with you when you come here? There may be something to what my brother said, since we did not go to the world and preach the gospel God is bringing the world to us. One guy in a book I read said that he figured that this generation is the most moraly upright generation that has existed. What? How can you claim moral responsibility when you don’t believe in absolutes, especialy moral ones? Oh yea I forgot. When you are the one making the moral thermometor you can set sizziling at any number you want !

Israel. The wall. Hummmmmm. I read a blog written by a woman in Jerusalem. Interesting. Why do people in the city build a wall around their . . . I mean why would Israel build a wall? What are the real issues that are at the heart of the middle east crisis? That question reiterates an old question. What shall we do with the news media, the news people. Most of the articles that I read are from the palistinian viewpoint, “Israel carried out raids on a town or refugee camp and killed . . .” then in small print at the end “Israel claimed it was because the palistinians were firing rockets . . .” How do we know what really is going on? Water. That is one reason for the fight in the middle east. Not? The palistinians want to get back property that they had before 1948. Isreal wants the right to exist. Some Arabs want to push Israel back into the Mediterianian. I wonder, why has the world not told China to give back Tibet? I read a suggestion that the Pope would like to move his headquarters to Jerusalem. Why? What is it about that God forsaken piece of realestate that makes it headline news all the time? Why would a ‘christian’ try to blow up the mosque on the site where Mohamed left the earth? “Because God told him to” he said but if there was no mosque and Israel could would they not rebuild the temple? And would it be a good thing if they did? No, it would be a return to the Old Testament Mt Sinai covenant. I know that some think that that covenant and the New Testament in Christs blood are both one in the same thing but there is a world of differance between the two. I suggest that God lets the mosque exist just so that Israel can not rebuild the temple so that they can not reinstate their old religion. He wants them to realize the true significance of Abraham’s sacrifice of Isaac and of His sacrifice of Jesus there in Jersulem. The real significance of the tree of life, which Ian suggests was there (is it God’s favorite piece of realestate because that is where the garden was?). “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God.” that is “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved – have eternal life” Israel – the garden of Eden vrs the tower of Bable!

Then there is the “primortial” piece of rock orbiting Saturn retrograde. That is another story. And evidence of water on Mars. . . or is it dust balls created by static electricity and the wind ; the evidence of water and therefore possibly life is just to keep the funds comming their way so they can play with their toys? Don’t get me off on astronomy today.

Deer

I came home one day to find that my niece was being quite rowdy so I suggested that we take a ride in my little green Rabbit. She decided that that sounded like something to do, I don’t know if she thought it would be exciting or not but she was easily enough convinced that it would be good for a change. Just before we left I took my camera out of the car so that she being at the time a curious inquisitive little person could not play with it. I had no destination in mind but when we drove out of the lane I turned south. As we cruised down the big hill I asked, “would you like to go to the coulees?” Coulees, a valley perhaps a half mile wide and flat on the bottom and one hundred feet below the level of the prairies. The coulees to us meant the pasture lease. In Alberta there are four Special Areas huddled together in the east central part of the province between Consort and Medicine Hat. They are not municipalities; they do not have their own government, and much of the land in them is owned by the Crown and leased to the farmers and ranchers of the area. We were one of five neibours who together in the Watson Coulee Grazing Association leased five or six sections. There was a road of sorts that lead down to the bottom where a gate let us into our pasture.
Early summer, early in the evening, blue skies and beautiful scenery. What could be better? The trail that wound along following the stream was made by pick-up trucks but what’s that for a rabbit?
We bounced along for not more than a half mile when I said “look Jenice, a deer!”
It was grazing close to the trail by a big patch of hawthorn bushes. “Lets slow down and see how close we can get, you will have to sit still and be quiet, because the windows are open.” We crept up till we were opposite it where I stopped and turned the Rabbit off. I guess deer are used to rabbits, still you would think that the colour would give it away but it never even so much as looked up. We watched for fifteen minuets.
When it did finally look up it was facing straight toward us. It walked right up to the car, even Jenice froze. I could have scratched it behind the ear.
Can I prove it? No.
But James did have his camera one morning when we pulled away from home to go to work. “James,” I said “look what is walking down the street toward us!” It was a young deer. I stopped and it walked right up beside us but then a dog came along; the deer turned ran into a yard and disappeared over the back fence.
Yesterday when I was on my way to work I came up over a hill and saw a deer on the other side of the road. I slowed down and sure enough just as I came up to where it was it decided to cross in front of me. Right in frount of me.
This morning I got ready to go and went out the door letting the screen slam shut as usual but I shouldn’t have. Just across the lawn and on the other side of the road was a deer. It took off straight away from me and was gone in the flash of white tail. As I drove south I could see that it was very foggy up ahead. When I got to the corner to turn east it was most difficult to see if anything was comming from either direction. Up the hill I went into the sunshine and decended back into the fog. I knew that I was just about at the little lake so I slowed down till I was crawling along. Around the south side of the lake we curved expecting a deer anywhere along there. No deer. The other side of the lake the sun was shining bright and clear so I got up a good head of steam to make up for the slow time when up across the road went a deer. As I passed by it going down into the ditch I saw a second one was already there.
I like deer watching.

Wow it is the next day already

Today went fast. Right now there is lots to do to keep us busy where I work, and that makes the day go fast because there is not enough time to get all that you want done done and there is no time for anything else. Well we did play one round of Ping Pong on our lunch break, we played four games - and lost all four, and I did take a quick look at the bbcworld news headlines, during one break and I went to the bank during the other break, so I had not a lot of time for other browsing. Oh I did manage a look at some articles regarding hospital, hummm what did they call it? problems that are created for people who go to the hospital that have nothing to do with the proplem for which they were admitted. Ha so I did managew more than I thought I did.
That is interesting, the guy from Turkey tells his fellow mid east people that they have to get with it because they combined do not have the GNP of a country like France. G ross N ational P roduce production They don't collectively put out as much as France does. There are rich people but there have to be a lot of poor ones, one can see why someone would attack foreign workers brought in to do the work of rebuilding . . . And Russia, presently 90% owned by 100 people. One Hundred people. I guess people will never learn, when you have a big middle class as North America used to have you have a rich country but when all the wealth gets collected into the hands of a few then the country as a whole gets poor ! Canada is not NOT an old country but we have all the characteristics of one. How few people own Canada? My brother told me some time ago that Japan was owned by 5 or 10 families. Now look at Japan on its way down. Course the financial affairs of a country are not the only measure of aging in a country. I can't figure people they come to this country because it is so much better than what they left behind and they insist on doing things like they did back home . . . Let me see yep our country is getting to be very much like theirs. Morals . . . Lots of people with too much time on their hands and too much prosperity so they come up with ideas like evolution and so on and so on. What drives the computer to upgrades? Business? Nope. for most things that businesses use them a 500 Mhz is plenty fast enough. Course we do want all the bells and whistles but it is gamers that want the speed and power. And then there are Sleepy christians.
Woa enough I have to get out there and put a tube in a bicycle tire and then take a look a my $ status tomorrow being the day I get the play cheque.
Back again !

Joining the ranks of the Blog

Three of the family are bloggers and one is a used to, the server went down and he hasn't gotten around to getting a new one set up yet. Here I am sitting at the screen with "blog" displayed and one of our bloggers comes up behind me and says "you are going to set up a blog?" Well, yes I am which is why there is someone sitting with me coaching me . . . Now I am one too. This is the official inauguration of blogger number four, or five, and we will see what will come of it and what it will come to. As yet there is no fixed purpose other than just to have it and keep up to the rest of the family, "see I have one tooo". That is no gaurentee that it will be regular, one of our bloggers is into it what I would call big time, a blog a day and one of them, the one who expressed suprise that I am getting on line; I don't know 'cause I have never seen her blog, the other is not so prolific and the fourth I must admit I only saw one of his - I think while he was still with it, what I am saying is we have yet to see where in the crowd my pace will place me. Occational, sporatic, dedicated, or so on?
The name? I like to watch what is going on around me, and reflect on it. What does it mean to me? How will it affect every thing else that is going on? How far reaching will it be? With the advent of the internet comes a dramatic jump in the range of things to think about, both physical location and topic, and the range of other peoples input into the pool of ideas, thoughts, cogitations, and so on from the sublime to the absolutely outrageous.
I have begun.
