Simon, Simon, Simon, like it is worthwhile to the study of science, biology, to teach evolution. Evolution has nothing to do with how things work. Nothing. One does Not have to understand that man came from ape came from nonliving came from little bang to understand science or biology or astronomy or geology – come on Simon ! ! !

Kids could learn a whole lot more science if they did not have to spend Most of their time learning evolution ! ! !

There it is. Right there on the front page of the Edmonton Journal. For everyone to see and to fall for. It has to be important right? It is on the front page after all. It is our Honourable Esteemed Education Minister who says so.

Now I AM riled up!

Alberta’s Mr. Know it all education minister has told companies to stop hiring school drop outs !!

What am I ? Stupid ? Reallllllllly you think that I am not aware of how much the world has changed? I am stuck in the dino age, I am so far over the hill that I am totally out of touch with the world ?

The world as we know it was built with the able assistance of public school drop outs !

Mr. know it all education minister, no one gave you the mandate to rebuild the world according to Your image ! !

1 – public school is not established to teach people Anything. Go ahead, I dare you. Ask anyone on the street, at the job sites, in the corporate headquarters how much of what they ‘learned’ at school they are using in their life today. Go ahead, I dare you ! !
2 – most people who Do learn something at school do it IN SPITE OF school.
3 – fortunately there ARE some teachers in the system who are there to be all the Help that they can be, to whom ever they can, to learn things.
4 – The world does not need any more brains, it needs a heart !
5 – Anyone with the brains to figure out what we need to know to make the world a better place to live with WILL figure out a way to do so with or WITH OUT the help of school. Just how many times do we have to remind Mr. Know it all education minister of how many world class thinkers and movers and doers the schools have kicked out of the system? Or otherwise Squeeeezed out of it?
6 – Does Mr. Know it all minister know how many world class company / corporation leaders who ARE the system are out to line their own pocket with total disregard to the world, the environment, and the people in it? Everyone loves Charles Dickens. What did he write about? Man’s inhumanity to man within the heirarchy. Why does the system not ban his books? They are anti system ! While I am definitely NOT part of the eco idiots who have totally run amok loving trees and hogs and rocks and everything to the exclusion of the people who live here – witness Jack telling Alberta that we must shut down the Athabaska Tar Sands WHILE he is flying over it in a gas guzzling airplane … (few, very few eco locos have a heart) I do think that we need to evaluate just what really IS important to living.
DO we neeeeed computers? NO.
Do we Neeeeeeeed the Large Hadron Collider? NO.
Do we HAVE to have birds and flowers? No.
Do we Have to be able to see the sunrise? No.

Is it nice to have them? Yes

SO Mr. Know it all education minister why in the world can’t you let those who want to kill themselves with the computer or the LHC go ahead and do so AND let those who want to quit school and get a good paying JOB do so AND let those who are above the system dream (and maybe come up with something that will help us) instead of ostracizing them, stigmatizing them by kicking them out, or putting the ADD or ADHD label on them, AND let those who want to learn in their own way at their own pace do so instead of squeeeezzzzzzzzzing them into peer groups, AAAAND let those who want to worship God do so

WITHOUT YOU trying to run our lives ? ? ?

Tell us what you really mean. Why did you tell companies to quit hiring school drop outs? You DO have something at school that you are indoctrinating our young people with? You can’t let them get out into the world with their own resources and their own ideas and ideals? There IS some reason that you MUST force every one to conform to the mold?

ASK YOUR self, WHY are these kids dropping out?
AND TRY VERY hard to answer Honestly ! !
Consider this concept – they ARE smart, smart enough to figure out that school has, you have, LESS to offer them, if anything at all, than getting on with life. IF they can go out there and get a job for 80 thousand $$ Without a highschool diploma why stop them. There ARE many university grads who can’t find a 20 thousand $$ job for the life of them … How many Kings of Europe could not read ………
